Important: The following provisions form the basis of the PerksPlus Program. These provisions are intended to protect you, the U.S.- or Canada-based Company participating in the PerksPlus Program, United Airlines and Lufthansa. Your participation in the program will be governed by these provisions, and it is your responsibility to read and understand all of them. For further Program information, please contact PerksPlus at 1-888-737-5775. These program Rules may be changed with or without notice at any time.
General Conditions
Participation in the PerksPlus Program (the “Program”) is subject to any terms and conditions, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures (“Program Rules”) that United and Lufthansa, together (the “Parties”) may, at their discretion, adopt from time to time. Your enrollment was based on information provided to the Parties by you, your company or a representative at the time of enrollment. Should any of those conditions change, without written notification, The Parties may terminate your enrollment in the Program. Additionally, any failure to follow Program Rules, any abuse of Program privileges, any conduct detrimental to the interest of the Parties, or any misrepresentation of any information furnished to the Parties or its affiliates by anyone acting in connection with the Program may result in termination of your eligibility and participation in the Program and forfeiture of all points, rewards or benefits earned.
PerksPlus Program participation and its points (“Points”) and rewards offered to its members (“Rewards”) are provided at the discretion of the Parties, and the Parties have the right to terminate the Program, or to change the Program Rules, regulations, benefits, conditions of participation, Point accrual or Rewards offered in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice, even though changes may affect the value of the Points accrued. The Parties may, among other things, withdraw, limit, modify or cancel any points or rewards; increase revenue requirements; modify or regulate the transferability of Points or Rewards; add an unlimited number of blackout days; or limit the number of seats available, to any or all destinations. You may not rely upon the continued availability of a Reward or Reward level, and Rewards may not be eligible for redemption or use to all destinations or on all flights.
By participating in the Program you understand and approve that travel data collected by the Program can be viewed by United and Lufthansa. Furthermore, you understand and agree to allow certain pieces of travel information to be posted online, which can be viewed by individuals authorized by your company, specifically, historical travel itineraries will be available online, which will include data but is not limited to traveller name and travel date.
Your company is responsible for adhering to and ensuring that its employees adhere to all terms and conditions of the Program. United, Lufthansa and all companies affiliated with the PerksPlus Program will not be responsible for correspondence lost or delayed in the mail. Company shall be responsible for advising the Parties of any change of address, and the Parties shall have no liability for misdirected mail or any consequences thereof.
Program Term
Participation in the Program is for 12 months. To remain in the Program, a minimum of $5,000 USD in net flown revenue must be achieved within any three (3) consecutive month period. If successfully achieving the minimum net flown revenue requirement, Company’s participation in the Program will be automatically renewed for another Program term. Failure to meet the minimum requirement will result in non-renewal and forfeiture of all benefits earned during the Program term.
Accruing Points
Points are accrued when published fare tickets are purchased and issued in the United States or Canada, have the assigned PerksPlus Identification Code (Perks ID Code) and are flown on United, United Express® and Lufthansa during the Program term. Services within Europe operated by Lufthansa CityLine, Contact Air, Augsburg Airways, Cimber Air, Cirrus Airlines, Eurowings, Air Dolomiti and Deutsche Bahn when booked with LH flight numbers are included. The number of points earned for the dollars spent is based on actual net flown revenue, excluding all taxes, fees, surcharges and commissions, realized by the Parties from Company business travel that has the company-assigned Perks ID Code in the tour code box of the flown ticket (“Eligible Revenue”). Government fares, meeting fares, negotiated fares, or any fare requiring the use of another identification code in the tour code box or the use of a ticket designator on a ticket will not qualify as Eligible Revenue for PerksPlus. No bonus c ommission programs or rate programs shall apply to Eligible Revenue under the PerksPlus Program.
The PerksPlus Program is a program for US- and Canadian-based corporate customers. Points will not be earned for tickets on Lufthansa-operated flights for customers based outside the United States.
Eligible Revenue earned, if any, will be credited to Company according to the fare paid, not the cabin flown, and will not be credited on any upgrade.
Participation in the PerksPlus Program is between the Parties and the Company. Only the Company can accrue Points under the Program, and the Company, in accordance with Program Rules will determine how those points are redeemed for rewards and allocated to its employees.
Accrued Points do not constitute property of the Company. The accumulation of Points and the redemption of Points for Rewards are subject to specific Program Rules enacted by the Parties. No Points earned or granted under the Program may be transferred or assigned except as expressly permitted by the Parties in writing.
Currently, Points can be accrued by generating Eligible Revenue on United, United Express® and Lufthansa services. Services within Europe operated by Lufthansa CityLine, Contact Air, Augsburg Airways, Cimber Air, Cirrus Airlines, Eurowings, Air Dolomiti and Deutsche Bahn when booked with LH flight numbers are included. Tickets must be plated on United or Lufthansa and lifted by United or Lufthansa in order to accrue points. The Parties expressly reserve the right to establish additional means of accruing Program Points, to delete any or all of the means of accruing Program Points, to delete any or all of the means currently recognized, or to exclude specific types of transactions, fares or tickets from the accumulation of Eligible Revenue, to change the conversion value of Eligible Revenue to Points, to limit the number of Points that can be earned during a Program term.
Points earned must be redeemed and used in accordance with the PerksPlus Program.
The Parties will make available to the Company Program Points earned, based on net flown revenue on United, United Express® and Lufthansa services. When enrolled in the Program, the Company is assigned a unique Perks ID Code. In order for the flown revenue to be automatically tracked and counted toward the Program, each business travel ticket must include the Company’s Perks ID Code. No retroactive credit will be applied if the Perks ID Code is not recorded properly on tickets.
Any Revenue and Program Points earned outside of the specific PerksPlus account set up for your Company may not in any way be combined with any Revenue or Program Points earned elsewhere, except for those points earned in the Lufthansa Corporate Mileage Plan.
Points are awarded based on tiers and a factor of the lifted revenue times the multiplier identified for the associated fare basis code purchased. Tier 1 includes last minute or premium fare (booking classes F, C, Y, B) and eligible revenue will be multiplied by 4 to determine points earned. Tier 2 includes typical business travel fares (booking classes P, D, M, E, U, H) and eligible revenue will be multiplied by 2 to determine points earned. Tier 3 includes highly discounted leisure fares (booking classes A, Z, Q, V, W, S, T, K, L) and eligible revenue will be multiplied by 1 to determine points earned.
Redeeming Program Points
Upon request by the authorized Company contact, your account will be deducted the appropriate number of Points for the requested Reward. Redemption policy and Points required are available on www.perkspluspartners.com. There is a minimum of 48 hours processing time for reward fulfilment.
To redeem points, Company must first meet the minimum revenue requirement of $5,000 USD within any three (3) consecutive month period for each Program term. Accrued Points from the previous term may be redeemed up to the end of the current term as long as the minimum revenue requirement had been met in the previous term.
The number of Points required for any and all Rewards is subject to modification, cancellation or limitation at the discretion of the Parties, with or without notice. The number of points required to redeem any Reward may be substantially increased, any Reward may be withdrawn, and restrictions on any Reward or its redemption may be imposed at any time. The accumulation of Points earned does not entitle Company to any vested rights with respect to any Rewards or the Program.
Unused Points earned in the previous term may be redeemed up to the end of the current term if Company met the minimum revenue requirement during the previous term. If Company ends participation in the Program at any time, unused Points may be redeemed up to ninety (90) days from participation end date if the minimum revenue requirement has been met. If Program participation expires or current term is terminated by the Parties prior to the current Program end date all previous term and current term earned Points are forfeited and not redeemable.
Upgrade Certificates, Travel Certificates, Mileage Plus® Elite Memberships and Red Carpet Club Access
Upgrades and Travel Certificates issued by the Program in connection with the PerksPlus Program may only be utilized by Company for travel wholly on United, United Express® and Lufthansa. The means and terms of such redemption are contained in the applicable Upgrade and Travel Certificate Terms and Conditions incorporated herein by reference.
Upgrades are valid for one year from the date of issuance. The validity of Travel Certificates and other applicable redemption and use time restrictions are specified on the Travel Certificate. Upgrades and Travel Certificates which are not valid cannot be reissued or used to claim other Rewards.
If a ticket is issued from a Reward redemption, only the party whose name is reflected on that ticket may use the ticket.
Tickets issued as a Reward redemption may not be combined with any form of upgrade.
Upgrades will not be allowed on free accommodations, rentals or tickets; industry discounts; consolidation tickets; group rates; or special promotion rates.
After a ticket is issued in connection with a Reward redemption, a service charge may be imposed for each change requested which necessitates the reissue of the ticket. A change in date or flight time may result in the imposition of a service charge. Name changes are not permitted. Tickets issued in connection with Reward redemption and not used, or subsequently cancelled due to an expired ticketing time limit, will be forfeited.
Mileage Plus Elite Status Rewards are valid for redemption for one year from date of issuance. Mileage Plus must receive the redemption request on or before the expiration of the reward. Mileage Plus Premier Associate®, Premier® or Premier Executive® memberships are valid for Mileage Plus members that have not achieved Premier Associate, Premier or Premier Executive status. Surrendering a Mileage Plus Elite Status Reward for an employee that has already achieved Premier Associate, Premier or Premier Executive status will cause the Reward to be forfeited. Premier Associate, Premier or Premier Executive status for an eligible employee will be valid for one full Mileage Plus cycle.
Bartering or Selling Rewards
The sale or barter of any Rewards other than by the PerksPlus Program is expressly prohibited. Any Rewards transferred, assigned or sold will be in violation of the Program Rules. Rewards may be confiscated or cause for the Company’s immediate termination from Program, causing forfeiture of all earned unused benefits.
Miscellaneous
Any taxes, duties or charges resulting from the issue or use of an Award shall be the responsibility of the Participant.
All transportation is subject to United’s or Lufthansa’s Conditions of Carriage and applicable law.
Participation in that program may not be assigned by the Participant.
United or Lufthansa shall not be liable for any liability or damages incurred by Participants in connection with their participation in the Program.
This Program shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of laws principles and jurisdiction with respect to any dispute arising with respect thereto shall lie in Nassau County, New York.

- Permitted Travel Area: You must adhere to the PerksPlus Award Travel Certificates table below.
- Eligibility Restrictions: This certificate may only be applied to the purchase of one new ticket and may not be applied to a previously issued ticket.
- Valid Carrier: United, United Express® or Lufthansa operated flights; Services within Europe operated by Lufthansa CityLine, Contact Air, Augsburg Airways, Cimber Air, Cirrus Airlines, Eurowings, Air Dolomiti and Deutsche Bahn when booked with LH flight numbers are included. Not valid on any other airline. Certificates cannot be redeemed for tickets on Lufthansa-operated flights for customers based outside the United States.
- Ticketing Dates: Certificates are valid for ticketing for one year from the date of certificate issue. No extensions will be granted.
- Travel Dates: Within one year of ticketing, subject to availability.
- Blackout Dates: (on United-operated flights only)

- Min/Max Stay Requirements: None.
- Valid Routing: Certificates may be combined for travel in and between different regions and classes of service as indicated in the Award Travel Certificates table. One way travel is permitted by using one half of the certificates required for a qualifying roundtrip, rounding up to the nearest whole certificate. (i.e. if Roundtrip travel requires 5 Certificates, one way travel would require 3 certificates). You must follow a permitted routing.
- Stopovers: One en route stopover is permitted in addition to the roundtrip, one-way and/or open jaw itinerary.
- Qualifying Booking Classes: Certificate(s) may be used on published United First® (A) class, United Business® (D) class, or United Economy® (Q) class. Certificate(s) may be used on Lufthansa First (O) class, Lufthansa Business (I) class, Lufthansa Economy (X) class. These are capacity-controlled booking classes which may not always be available on all flights or on all days of the week when traveling.
- Taxes and Fees: Taxes, fees or surcharges including, but not limited to Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs), departure and arrival taxes and carrier-imposed surcharges are additional and subject to change.
- Combinability: Not combinable with any other discount offers, upgrades or awards
- Maximum number of users per certificate number: One.
- Maximum number of passengers per itinerary: One.
- Ticketing: For United-operated flights, this certificate can only be redeemed by calling the PerksPlus Reservations Team at 1-888-267-7758. For Lufthansa-operated flights and mixed United/Lufthansa itineraries, this certificate can only be redeemed by calling Lufthansa’s Business Service Center at 1-800-340-4411. THIS CERTIFICATE CAN NOT BE REDEEMED AT A TRAVEL AGENCY, TICKET OFFICE OR ANY AIRPORT.
- Residual Value of Certificate/Discount: None.
- Mileage Plus® and/or Miles & More® Accrual: Not Permitted.
- Upgrades: Not Permitted.
- Changes: Once tickets are issued, date changes within the validity of the tickets are permitted. Tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue. Traveler is responsible for any difference in taxes or fees due to re-bookings, per the rules of the fare class. No routing changes are permitted.
- Refunds: Tickets issued against certificate numbers may not be returned for certificate reissue and may not be exchanged. Taxes and fees for completely unused tickets are refundable.
- Denied Boarding Compensation: Permitted.
- Transfer of certificate: This certificate is not transferable and is void if sold or bartered. Other restrictions may apply.
- Important Notes: This certificate is not transferable and is void if sold or bartered. Only employees or designees traveling for business purposes of the PerksPlus Participant are eligible for travel. Other restrictions may apply.
