Who can apply for PerksPlus?
U.S. and Canadian corporations* that do not currently have a corporate or incentive agreement with United Airlines® or Lufthansa are welcome to apply.

*The PerksPlus team must be able to verify the existence of the company to qualify for enrollment. The company must have a minimum of five travelers. The company's primary business cannot be related to the travel industry.

Renewal in the program is automatic if the company has achieved the minimum requirement of $5,000 in eligible revenue tracked on United/Lufthansa flown travel during any three month consecutive period.

How does PerksPlus track my qualifying travel expenditure to earn PerksPlus points?
A unique PerksPlus Identification Code is assigned to each company upon approval and enrollment in PerksPlus. This code along with the individual traveler’s Mileage Plus or Miles & More number (if available) must be entered each time travel is booked and ticketed, whether the reservation is made via a travel agent, United/Lufthansa Reservations, united.com, or United airport ticket counter.

How do company employees book PerksPlus travel at united.com?
First, create a united.com profile or update an existing profile.

Next, select the “My Travel Preferences” link, and then enter your company’s PerksPlus Identification Code in the Corporate Programs section and SAVE your profile.

Finally, when booking a flight, you must log onto your Mileage Plus profile. When prompted with the option of Business or Leisure, you must select Business to have your PerksPlus account credited for the travel.

Tell company employees to follow the PerksPlus booking instructions you can download from the online account tool.

How do company employees book PerksPlus travel at lufthansa.com?
Currently, PerksPlus travel cannot be booked at lufthansa.com. However, if your travelers wish to book directly with Lufthansa, they may do so by calling 1-800-645-3880 and providing their PerksPlus ID Code.

Who is eligible to utilize the PerksPlus Identification Code?
Employees of an enrolled company may utilize the PerksPlus Identification Code when traveling on company business.  The code should be shared with eligible employees, and is to be used for business travel only.

What if I forget to provide my PerksPlus Identification Code or Mileage Plus/Miles & More number when I book my travel?
You and your travelers must provide your company PerksPlus Identification Code and Mileage Plus/Miles & More number (if available) at the time of ticketing. Only flown revenue from United, Lufthansa and United Express® travel that include your PerksPlus Identification Code will contribute to your company’s PerksPlus point accrual.

Does domestic and international travel count towards PerksPlus?
Yes. Revenue from any United Airlines, Lufthansa or United Express® flight segments contributes to your monthly tracked revenue provided tickets are issued in the United States or Canada. Points will not be earned for tickets on Lufthansa operated flights for customers based outside the United States.

On what fares can I earn PerksPlus rewards?
All published fares purchased and traveled on United Airlines, Lufthansa or United Express contribute to the monthly revenue tracked for PerksPlus rewards. Government and military fares, wholesaler, consolidator, bulk and other special fare types are excluded. Flown revenue travel on Corporate Agreements, Meetings Plus and any other type of program requiring an identification code or ticket designator on an air ticket are not eligible for PerksPlus points.

Do I have to be a Mileage Plus or Miles & More member to participate in the Program?
No. But we highly recommend that travelers become members so they may enjoy the individual benefits of the Mileage Plus/Miles & More programs, while helping the company earn valuable incentives through the PerksPlus program.

How long are my rewards valid?
The terms of use are printed on each reward. Currently, one-class U.S. domestic upgrades on United flights, systemwide upgrades on United/Lufthansa flights and travel certificates on United/Lufthansa flights are valid for one year from the issue date. Mileage Plus Premier Associate®, Premier® or Premier Executive® status upgrade must be processed within one year of the original request. The Mileage Plus elite status is valid for one full Mileage Plus cycle ending on February 28.

What if I need to make a change to an award ticket already issued?
Routing changes are not permitted. Date changes are permitted. Traveler is responsible for any difference in taxes or fees due to re-bookings, per the rules of the fare class.

Can I use my rewards on Lufthansa Regional Partner flights within Europe?
Yes, rewards may be used on services within Europe operated by Lufthansa CityLine, Contact Air, Augsburg Airways, Cimber Air, Cirrus Airlines, Eurowings, Air Dolomiti and Deutsche Bahn when booked with LH flight numbers.

How long will it take to process a Mileage Plus status upgrade request for a company traveler?
Once the request is received by Mileage Plus, the elite status will be granted and a new Mileage Plus card will be mailed to the traveler. Please allow 4 weeks for receipt of the Mileage Plus card.

Travel certificates are only valid on United, Lufthansa, United Express® and LH Regional Partner operated flights. They may not be used for travel on any other code-share partners or Mileage Plus/Miles & More partner airlines.
